Welcome to The Contest. We are eager to receive your poetry. We will read through the submissions in search of the Poem we believe should receive the title of Winner. The Winner of The Contest will receive a $50.00 cash Prize. The Winning Poem will be Posted on the Sites Winner Page.
Indeed there will be many interesting and well written Poems to choose from; and to choose but one will be a challenge for us, as it will be for you to submit the winning Entry.

All styles of poetry are appreciated. Each poem has a $5.00 Entry Fee. Multiple submissions are welcome; but please note that the $5.00 Fee applies to each individual poem you submit. Your full Name and mailing address should be included in the email submission.
Before entering please check back to the Site to make sure The Contest is still open before sending your poem (The Velvet Goat will not accept poetry Entries after the Contest Deadline, and all Poems submitted after The Contest closing date will be deleted).
